Cindy Crushes Programming: Five Nights at Freddy’s Escape Room

With the Movie coming out at the end of the month, we knew that a Five Nights at Freddy’s Escape Room would be popular. I even made a display to help promote sign up and participation. I finally had a full sign up for a program. Because of interest, I ran two 45 minute sessions.

Plot: You are investigating  Freddy FazBear Pizza after a security guard has gone missing. You have suddenly been locked in the room. You have 45 min to get out before Freddy Fazbear gets you.

• Breakout edu Kit 
• Random other decor
• Map of the Camera at Freddy’s
• Note Created with the code of the color lock
• Five Nights at Fredy books
• Morse Code Guide and word in morse code
• Homemade Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza  Diner Menu
• Receipt showing chocolate milkshake but price is cut off (see documents at end of post)
• A table up set up like a diner booth to Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza  
• Fake poster about the dance where Fredy and his band are supposed to perform
• Stuffed Bears in a box

Directional Lock: Up Down  West East   Lock will be placed on a big box. 

Code will be on a little lock locked with a Key hidden in the room.  1a, 2b, 7, 5 This matched up with the camera map I hung up in the room.

Color Lock: I had a character guide that showed the characters that matched with the colors on the color lock. I did check with each group for color blindnesses to make sure I was not provending kids who might

Morse Code will be used for the Word Lock Large box. I wrote out the letter for Funny in morse and had a morse code guide in the room.

Funny  

Three number Lock on large box: 3.99 will be ripped from the receipt and put in the little box with the key lock. Key lock will be hidden in the room. They do not need to open the little box if they use the menu.

Four Digit lock:  Box of bear with picture of Freddy in the bottom with clue on the back of pictures

Final Thoughts: This was a big hit at the library. The teens loved it and were so happy to do it.
