Book Gallery: YA Readalikes for fans of the Netflix series WEDNESDAY

Many of the teens I know are into the newest hit on Netflix, WEDNESDAY. It’s a spin-off of The Addams Family that involves the teen girl, Wednesday, going to a mysterious boarding school full of murderous family secrets. Given the success of the show among teens, I have been thinking of books to put into the hands of the teens that keep talking about this hit series. But when I thought about recommending books, I realized there were a lot of different things they liked about the show, so I thought I would break my book recommendations down into the various categories I was hearing the teens talk about. So here are a ton of Wednesday readalikes that you or someone you know may be interested in reading. Please note, in order to make this list there are sometimes spoilers about elements of the show or the books. Also, this is by no means comprehensive.
If You Like the Gothic Vibe

If You Like the Sirens

If You Like the Werewolves

If You Like the Deadly Boarding School

These book are all inspired by and are in some cases loose retellings of classic stories by Edgar Allan Poe

You should add the T. Kingfisher book “What Moves the Dead,” as it’s a pretty good retelling of “Fall of the House of Usher”
