Ferguson
It feels like we should be blogging and talking about what is happening in Ferguson here at TLT, but the truth is that it feels like what is happening is way outside what I am in any way qualified to talk about. And it is happening so fast. But it is important. If you are not on Twitter, you should definitely take some time to read about Ferguson on Twitter, it is changing the way the news is being shared. There are reports that the press are being silenced, a reporter was even arrested, but many people in Ferguson are using Twitter to report things as they happen. And some of the photos being shared via social media are profound. Some of them are being collected and shared via outlets like Buzzfeed and Mashable.
In the wake of Ferguson, I think our country will be forced to have some very difficult but necessary conversations.
Be thinking of the people in Ferguson and surrounding areas today.
Edited to Add: On Tumblr, there is a post going around on some things you can do to help Ferguson. You can find it here: http://natnovna.tumblr.com/post/94710359987
