Cindy Crushes Programming, Five Nights at Freddy’s Escape Room Number Two, by teen librarian Cindy Shutts

February 19, 2025 by Cindy Shutts   Leave a Comment

We noticed that teens still love Five Nights at Freddys and I wanted to do a new escape room that I thought people would attend, so I did.

The plot of the escape room is: You have a murder podcast and are investigating Freddy FazBear Pizza after a gruesome murder. Learn the secrets of the restaurant and survive to tell the tale.

Supplies:

  • Breakout edu Kit
  • Random other decor: We printed out posters on canva we found of main Five Nights at Freddy’s characters
  • Morse Code Guide and word in morse code
  • Decor
  • Map
  • Pencils
  • Ball Pit with balls I borrowed from the children’s department
  • Map the pizzara
  • Box of bears
  • Picture of a phone
  • I made a phone number list of Oswald’s contacts
  • A piece of paper that says call mom

Locks and Clues:

Directional Lock: West, North, South, East I will use a map of the room

I wrote Cam 5 , Cam 1A, Cam 2B, Cam 7 Lock this in box where you use the key lock to lock. I have a box of bears that I will hide the key in.

Four Digit Lock:

Find the Question: I have a receipt I made that has two items from the Fredy’s Menu. The teens will need to use addition to get the total without Tax.

I will hide receipt in Ball pit

10.98 will be that number

Three Digit Lock:

Under the trash can I will have hidden the number the freddy which will lead to Freddy  being covered he will have the number 023 written on him as that is the last three numbers of the year the movie came out.

Word Lock is CLEAN

Write the world clean in invisible ink and hide it. I also wrote the word in Morse.

Key lock hides the key in room

Final thoughts:  This was a really fun one and they love the use of invisible ink. They loved that a I had multiple paths for them to wing the clue. I taped the keys onto a chair and they had such a hard time finding it. I loved making this one have some different elements. One teen knew Morse code without me left the mode code guide out.
