RA Tool of the Week: Black Love Stories for Teens

This week, to celebrate Black History Month and the upcoming Valentine’s Day, I thought I would celebrate Black Love Stories. These are love stories that highlight Black main characters and are written by Black authors. I found lists on SLJ and Epic Reads to help build this RA tool. I myself am not a big romance reader so I definitely did a lot of research to help put this list together. And because I am a white woman, I consulted with some friends to make sure I was not being offensive in my wording and noted the wording on other lists to help me make informed design decisions.
I created this RA tool in Canva and below the tool itself you will find a link that will allow you to open it up as a template and personalize it for yourself or your library. The word “Love” at the top of this graphic is a frame so if you don’t like roses, you can add another photo to it.
