Guess Who Themed Teen Fiction RA (with thanks to Melissa Corey)
I’m in a Facebook group called Canva Librarians and Teachers and in that group, a ton of amazing librarians share their Canva templates which you can adapt to make your own displays, signs and more. It’s a great fountain of inspiration. A frequent contributor is Melissa Corey, who is doing amazing things with Canva. She shared a link to a Guess Who themed children’s lit game. I was inspired by that idea to make not a game, but to turn it into a Reader’s Advisory tool. I’m always looking for ways to promote the collection and make connections for readers. I used the format, and just tweaked it. In my version, I take a popular character on the left and recommend another character/book series on the right that fans might enjoy.
If I have shared the above link with you correctly, you should be able to open the template in Canva and edit it to make your own version. I would love to know what other characters you are recommending, so drop a note in the comments. I’m thinking of turning this into a fun game for a book club or book talks, a combo Guess Who x Memory type of thing.
