The Bloomsbury BOLDLY BOOKISH panel at Barnes and Noble (6/12/2015), Storified
On Friday night the girls and I traveled up to Frisco to see authors Trish Doller (The Devil You Know), Tiffany Schmidt (Hold Me Like a Breath), A C Gaughen (The Scarlet series) and Emery Lord (The Story of Me and You). The panel was moderated by Mary Hinson (@knoxdiver on Twitter) and it was, not surprisingly, a lot of fun. It was an honor for me to get to spend some time with my #SVYALit co-moderator Trish Doller. All of the authors were fun, informative and shared some good insight into their books. I particularly enjoyed listening to their thoughts about feminism in YA literature.
While driving up to the event The Tween was reading an ARC of DUMPLIN’ by Katherine Tegen author Julie Murphy. She is loving it and she was super excited to see that Julie was in the audience.
