No, I Don’t Want to Read Your Self-Published Book. HT to Kate Welsh @katelinnea

Can the State make NYC Schools comply with the mandate for secondary school librarians?

There are some really enlightening articles coming out about what’s happening in New Orleans with charter schools. It sounds like a nightmare to me.

This week in authors being smart on the internet, we have:
  • Laura Ruby, dismantling every article that denigrates YA
  • Shannon Hale on ‘ageist’ and ‘elitist’ articles about YA and children’s books in general
  • Anne Ursu dismantling AO Scott’s piece about the ‘death of adulthood’

Marie Lu’s The Young Elites has a book trailer!
