Middle Grade Monday – My Mailbox
I’m not sure what I expected to find crammed into my mailbox after a week away, other than bills and credit card offers, but it certainly wasn’t these!
Breakfast on Mars is a collection of essays written by mostly well known Middle Grade and Young Adult authors. The forward is somewhat surprising – being written by Margaret Cho (whom I adore, but she is somewhat…I think controversial is the word I would use.) My copy is signed by one of the editors, Rebecca Stern, and one of the authors, Scott Westerfeld. Whee!!! Can’t wait to read it. I’m hoping I’ll be able to convince the Language Arts Department at school to use it.
