The 2014 Printz Awards! And SCOWLER by Daniel Kraus wins the Odyssey Award!
Complete Printz Award list for 2014
Winnter: MIDWINTERBLOOD by Marcus Sedgwick
Honors: ELEANOR & PARK by Rainbow Rowell, MAGGOT MOON, KINGDOM OF LITTLE WOUNDS, and NAVIGATING EARLY
Karen’s Thoughts:
Midwinterblood is a really well written book and a good choice.
I love Eleanor & Park and love that it is both well-written and commercial.
Maggot Moon is really quite an amazing book and really deserves to be here. If you have not read it, do so now!
Kingdom of Little Wounds: I read this for the Cybils and think it is a good choice.
Navigating Early is the only book that I haven’t read but I have the audio book sitting right here so I guess I’ll listen to it on the way to work today!
I am beyond thrilled that SCOWLER by Daniel Kraus won the Odyssey Award. If you haven’t read the book and listened to the audio, you should fix that.
