Do Men or Women Dominate YA, a conversation sparked by Stacked on Twitter
Today over at Stacked Books, Kelly Jensen did a very interesting study at the New York Times Bestseller to investigate the question of whether or not the YA market was dominated by women or men. It is commonly stated that YA is a female dominated market. Her analysis of the NYT Bestsellers list indicates that MEN dominate the NYT bestseller list. It is a very interesting article, please read the whole thing here: http://www.stackedbooks.org/2013/11/a-closer-look-at-new-york-times-ya.html. Part 2 will post tomorrow and I am looking forward to it.

Then I wrote a specific response to the original tweet that drew me into the conversation: http://teenlibrariantoolbox.tumblr.com/post/66034049746/why-i-buy-books-for-my-library-not-because-the
I am looking forward to part 2.
