#bestYAdad: Nominate your favorite Dad from a YA book
We often complain about the lack of parents – or positive adults in general – in YA literature. But there are some great moms and dad in YA literature. Nominate your favorite dad from a YA book for #bestYAdad and see if they make our list, which will be revealed on Father’s Day – of course! You can either leave us a comment or Tweet us with the Hastag #bestYAdad. Please also take a moment to tell us why you are nominating them.
Inspired in part by The Mr., who is, I think, one of the best dads ever. I choose good books and good men LOL.

@TLT16 The #bestYAdad that I immediately thought of is Bobby in The First Part Last by Angela Johnson. Being a teen father is HARD!

Dante's dad in Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe. Love him!!
Agreed!
Emily's dad from I'll be There Be Holly Goldberg Sloan. He makes a few misguided mistakes, but overall he is caring and involved. He is a great example of a stable father figure for Sam and Riddle, two boys from a dysfunctional family.
